My name is Alaura! I’m hearing. I’m a student at New York University; I’m studying nutrition/dietetics with a minor in ASL. I am so excited to be working with DYF. I first became interested in ASL when I was a baby; my mom had 2 Deaf friends in High School so she knew some sign language. Back then, my favorite sign was cookie, and if I signed it, I would usually get one. :) Now that I’m older, I have a lot of favorite signs, but cookie is still one of them.
