Studios throughout U.S. will offer Benefit Yoga Classes to help raise awareness and money for the DeafYoga Foundation, the only non-profit of its kind in the world that provides opportunities for Deaf and hard of hearing yogis to participate in Yoga.

Fundraising Gala & Silent Auction ~ NYC, NY
Hosted by: Jivamukti Yoga School, Union Square • 7:30pm to 10:30pm

Our annual Fundraising Gala & Silent Auction is one of our main channels in raising money to support our ongoing service projects and programs.  This night, yoga enthusiasts (deaf & hearing) come together to honor the Deaf Yoga movement.  Come enjoy delicious vegetarian treats, classical Indian dance performances and get to know your fellow yogis.  On site sign language interpreters available.  Watch out Gala movie advertisement.

“Teaching Yoga to Deaf Students” Workshop ~ NYC, NY
Sunday, May 16 • 6:00pm - 8:00pm • Jivamukti Yoga School, Union Square

This unique workshop is designed to teach yoga instructors basic signs & techniques to use during their yoga classes to better accommodate Deaf yoga students.  No sign language experience necessary.  ASL-fluent yoga instructors & interpreters welcome.
