Deaf Yoga Day ~ Saturday, May 15, 2010
Benefit Yoga Classes Supporting DeafYoga Foundation’s Mission & Service
Inspiring minds & illuminating souls since 2007...

In the spirit of equality, Deaf Yoga Day celebrates & supports Deaf community members in their quest to learn yoga and become certified yoga teachers. For nearly 20 years, yoga has been mainstreamed... but for the Deaf community, they are just beginning to explore the power of this amazing healing art.
Deaf Yoga Day is a day dedicated to celebrating their path within yoga as well as bringing awareness to our community & culture. By offering benefit classes at your studio, you will help to fund the DeafYoga Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to translating and teaching ancient yoga wisdoms in American Sign Language (ASL) and to acting as a resource for the growing Deaf Yoga Community.
It is time that Deaf community members gain equal access to classes, workshops, retreats, conferences and teacher training courses. Let’s be proud advocates of this new movement within the yoga community. Thank you for your willingness to inspire and serve.
